Thermal Recuperative Oxidizers
Skid mounted, shop-assembled and shop-wired, SMITH thermal recuperative oxidizers are easy to ship (in one piece) and install. SMITH thermal recuperative oxidizers are a proven way to control VOC, air toxic
and odor emissions from your process.
This simple approach saves you capital, freight, and field installation
costs.
SMITH thermal recuperative oxidizers are designed to meet strict
destruction/removal efficiency levels of up to and higher than 99%. Special designs
are available to meet requirements for low levels of CO and thermal NOx.
Five (5) pre-engineered models are available to handle flows up to 1,000 scfm.
This product is attractively priced and the ideal choice for fast-track jobs.
Reliable. Using an ongoing Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) program to assure
efficient, long-lasting operation,
SMITH thermal recuperative oxidizers are designed to meet your
specific production demands. Special design features to prevent thermal stress are
incorporated for applications where production schedules require frequent unit start ups
and shut downs.
Thermally efficient. All five pre-engineered models feature 40%, 60%, or 70%
primary heat recovery to minimize fuel consumption. Secondary energy recovery is
available ot generate steam or heat for plant use. You save fuel and money.
SMITH Direct-Fired Oxidizers (DFO)
Safe operation is assured with our HAZ-OPS
engineered line of direct-fired oxidizers. All systems are designed to meet CPI/HPI
standards. SMITH DFOs operate within a wide
temperature
window (1,400°F. - 2,000°F.) and are ruggedly built to withstand frequent shutdowns with
no adverse effect to the equipment.
The SMITH DFO is a straight
afterburner design with no pre-combustion heat exchanger. The footprint is small and
the design is compact for easy shipment, field assembly, and start up. These systems
can be installed either vertically or horizontally to accommodate your plant space needs.
The SMITH
DFO is available in a range of sizes starting at
less than 5,000 scfm to over 100,000 scfm.
The SMITH
DFO is ruggedly built and designed to handle very
high temperatures. There are no moving parts. Maintenance is almost nil.
Inspect the unit during scheduled shut downs as part of your plant's preventive
maintenance program
Recover available energy in DFO exhaust stacks to
generate steam and/or heat for use in your plant. You get a quick payback for
capital expenditures.
Treat the DFO as a back-up system if you already
have a fume abatement system. When your primary system is temporarily down, use the
DFO to maintain zero downtime and 100% production time.
